Ashaila is our Licensed Mental Health Professional Resident at Benevolent Family Services.
 

She holds a Bachelors and Master's degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University, currently working towards licensure in clinical social work. She has always had a passion to help others in need as she has a plethora of experiences working with her home church in the missionary department. Her goal is to provide individuals with resources and tools in order to be self-sufficient and successful in their daily lives. Ashaila meets individuals where they are and emphasizes a person-centered approach as well as a strengths based approach. Ashaila is hardworking, compassionate, and an advocate for individuals. 

 

Ashaila's experience includes working as a specialized Social Worker in the intake, adoption, and foster care units assisting families to reunification and permanency, therapeutic mentoring, and case management. She has experience in providing individual/family assessments, counseling, co-facilitating groups, providing crisis intervention services as well as community based services, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. With this experience Ashaila strives to provide the best clinical interventions for each individual who crosses her path, along with support, guidance, and empowerment.
